The government has decided to set up children court in every district across the country in compliance with the newly-enacted Law -the Children Act 2013.
A district additional sessions judge will head the court, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Thursday.In case of absence of the additional sessions judge, the district sessions judge will take over the charge as an additional responsibility.
Besides, the ministry has set up two speedy trial tribunals for Barisal and Sylhet divisional cities under the Law and Order Disruption (Speedy Trial) Act 2002.
The tribunals come into operation forthwith, said the gazette notification. – UNB
