A youth was killed last night from a cocktail blast while he was allegedly making the bomb in village Adampur in the suburb of this town.
According to Officer- in- Charge of Kotwali thana, one Zillur, 30 was brought to Faridpur General Hospital in the evening with his both the wrists blown away from cocktail blast. Police immediately rushed to the spot of occurrence and recovered red tape and other bomb making materials.
Under the police observation Zillur was given treatment but he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital bed later on.
According to police, the detailed identity of the deceased could not be ascertained except his father’s name is Jamal of Pangsha and he was unknown in the place of occurrence. However police is carrying on investigation into the incident. -BSS, Faridpur
