Ritu Akhter, (18), daughter of BRDB Officer Abdus Sobhan committed
suicide on the late hour of Monday night. It is known from the family
of Ritu that she wanted a laptop from her parents for a long time.
On Monday, her father bought some clothes from Khulna for her use
instead of a laptop. At this sha became angry with them and went to
bed locking her room.
During the time of Seheri of Tuesday, her parents called her to take
Seheri but she did not respond to the call of her parents. They broke
the door of the room and found her hanging from a fan.
Going the spot, police recovered the body.
Mongla Thana police has told that taking permission from the DC of
Bagerhat, she was buried in Mongla graveyard. -Our Correspondent
