A college girl was killed and two others were injured by a gang of robbers during a robbery incident at Islamabad village of Noagaon
union under Sarail upazila here early today.The victim was Ratna, 20, a first year Honours student of Islampur Kazi Shafiqul Islam College and daughter of Osman Miah of the area.Police said a gang of robbers entered the house of expatriate Osman Miah and looted cash Taka 3 lakh and 30 vori gold ornaments after keeping the house inmates at gunpoint in the dead of night.They also hit Ratna and two other house inmates with sharp weapons as
they screamed for help, leaving them critically injured. Ratna died on the way to Dhaka.Sub Inspector of Sarail thana Abu Bakar confirmed the incident. -BSS, Brahmanbaria
