A college teacher was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Tinkhoti in Lalpur upazila on Thursday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, a lecturer of Bangla Department of Moharkaya Degree College of Lalpur upazila and son of Mojammel Hossain, a resident of Pirgachha village in Bagha upazila.A gang of unidentified miscreants opened fire at Mosharref when he was returning home from the college by a motorbike around 1:30 pm, leaving him injured, said officer-in-charge of Lalpur Police Station Abu Obayed.Later, they miscreants fled the scene hurriedly with Mosharref’s motorbike.Local people took the teacher o Bagha Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
