A life term murder convict in the district jail died at Sirajganj sadar hospital on Friday morning.The deceased is Sakhawat Hossain, 64, hailing from Shibpur village of Raiganj upazila.
Aminul Rahman, deputy jailer, said Sakhawat fell sick at about 11.00am and was admitted to Sirajganj sadar hospital where he died later while undergoing treatment.
The body was handed over to his family members.
Sakhawat had been imprisoned for life in the jail in a murder case.
