A case has been filed against 464 people, 64 among the members of notorious gang ‘Jisan Bahini’, in connection with the Thursday’s gunfight with police at Chandraganj in sadar upazila.Ohiduzzaman Biswas, sub-inspector of Chandraganj police station, filed the case against 64 identified criminals belong to the gang and 400 unidentified people on Friday on several charges, including attacking police, obstructing them in execution of their duties, vandalism and arson attack during the gunfight.Solaiman Uddin Jisan, ringleader of ‘Jisan Bahini’ was made the prime accused in the case.At least 10 people, including a truck driver, were injured in a gunfight between the policemen and the ‘Jisan Bahini’ members at Dewpara and Latifpur in Chandraganj upazila on Thursday night.The criminals blocked several points of the Laxmipur-Dhaka highway by placing logs, electric polls and torching tyres during the four-hour-long gunfight.Twenty vehicles were damaged during the incident. -UNB, Laxmipur
