Dhaka – A police constable was killed as a speeding vehicle hit him on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Anarpura area of Gojaria upazila in Munshiganj early Friday.The deceased police constable was identified as Shahidul Haque, 30, driver of a police wrecker.Md Mostafizur Rahman, additional superintendent of Munshiganj Police, said that the police wrecker was taken in the area early in the morning to salvage a vehicle which was overturned on the highway following an accident.The speeding vehicle ran over Shahidul while crossing the highway, leaving him dead on the spot.UNB news agency
