Two policemen were crushed to death by a truck in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Thursday morning.The deceased are sub-inspector Sadekul Islam, 38, and sergeant Ataul Islam, 25. The policemen were on duty when the speeding truck hit them.Shibganj police officer-in-charge (OC) Jubayer Hossain said the policemen signalled the truck for a police checking in front of the Kansat power station.
But the truck driver did not stop the vehicle defying the signal.The members of the police then chased the truck and were crushed under the truck.Police OC said the driver managed to flee the scene by the truck.Bodies of the policemen were sent to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
