The wife of a police official committed suicide in the police line area of the city on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Fatema, 45, wife of Amanullah, a police official of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
Khan Md Erfan, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, said Fatema hanged herself in their residence while she was alone around 9:00am.
She was a patient of mental disorder, he added.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. -UNB, Rajshahi
