Coronavirus cases jump by 112; one more dies in Bangladesh

One more person died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till Thursday, raising the death toll to 21.Besides, 112 people tested positive for COVID-19 during the period, raising the number of such cases in the country to 330.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque made the disclosures joining a regular bulletin of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 88,502 as of Thursday morning.
Besides, it has infected 1,518,719 people around the world after the highly contagious disease was first reported in China in December last year, according to worldometer.
Of those infected, 1,099,628 are currently being treated with 48,079 being in serious or critical condition.
So far, 330,589 people have recovered, reports UNB.
