Dr. Banani Biswas has been appointed new chairman of the Department of English, Comilla University (CoU), Cumilla. CoU registrar Prof. Dr. Md Abu Taher confirmed the news and said that the CoU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury appointed her to the post for the next three years.
The new appointment was made as the tenure of the previous chairman, Associate Prof. Ali Rezwan Talukdar ended after he resigned recently for some unavoidable reasons, he added.
The newly appointed chairman, Dr. Banani Biswas has already submitted the joining letter to the registrar for the post.
