Rajshahi Feb 11 – Two shops on Rajshahi University campus have been fined Tk 8000 for selling expired soft drinks. Agents of Consumer Right Protection Council conducted the drive on the campus around 12 pm on Tuesday and fined those shops.
According to campus sources, Consumer Rights Protection Council conducted the drive along with the university proctors body on Tuesday morning. Hasan al Maruf, assistant director of Consumer Right Protection Council, Rajshahi division fined one shop named ‘Monirul Store’ situated in front of the Madar Bux hall and another shop named ‘Modern Photostat’ is situated in front of the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman hall of the university. Varieties products are also be sold in ‘Modern Photostat’.
Hasan Al Maruf said The shops have been fined because of selling expired products. The drive will be continued in the future. – A Correspondent
