Country reports largest daily rise with 64 deaths

Bangladesh has reported highest number of deaths in a single day from COVID-19. Sixty-four people died of coronavirus in last 24 hours till Tuesday afternoon while 3,682 infection cases were recorded after testing 18,426 samples.
Now, the death toll stood at 1,847 and cases at 1,45,483.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the figure at the daily bulletin this afternoon.
Dr Nasima laid emphasis on health care of pregnant mothers and requested them not to come out without any reason.
Pregnant women can take four pre-delivery services from their nearest health institutions, reports UNB.
