Dhaka – The BNP-led 18-party opposition alliance will stage countywide
demonstrations on Friday protesting what it said the reshuffle in the
cabinet in the name of forming an government and demanding
restoration of the caretaker government system to oversee the next
general election.
BNP acting secretary general came up with the announcement at a press
conference at BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital on
Monday night.
The programme is also meant for demanding the releases of detained
leaders of BNP and its associate bodies.
They will stage demonstrations in all cities, district towns and
upazila headquarters across the country. – UNB
