President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) met Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman at his office on Monday to finalise the roadmap for DCCI’s project of creating 2000 new entrepreneurs. Dr Atiur Rahman reassured the DCCI president of providing all-out support in implementing of the DCCI project and said if the venture succeeds it will be treated as an example. The central bank governor has agreed to be the chief adviser of the project. DCCI president Sabur Khan informed the governor that the DCCI has already launched a campaign in the country’s university and educational institutions in this regard. He said the DCCI is getting overwhelming response from the young section of society as they want to be entrepreneurs. Head of SME Department, Bangladesh Bank, Sukamal Sinha Choudhury and Deputy General Manager M Abul Bashar and other members of the SME department were present at the meeting. – UNB
