Three people were killed in separate road accidents in the district on Monday and Sunday night. Witnesses said a man was killed and another injured as a truck hit them while they were standing on Dhaka-N’ganj link road in Shibu market area at Fatullah Monday noon. The deceased was identified as Afzal Hossain Mithu, son of Malek Miah in Tala area in the upazila while the injured was Saddam Hossain. Saddam was admitted to Khanpur 200-bed Hospital. In Sonargaon upazila, a motorcyclist was killed as a bus rammed his motorbike on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Nayagaon area in the morning. The deceased was identified as Ikbal, a mason and son of Amir Ali of Satbhaipara village in the upazila. In another accident in the upazila, a young man was crushed under the wheels of a bus at Sholopara in the same upazila on Sunday night. The victim was identified as Dulal, son of Abdul khalek of Panam Gabtali area in the upazila. – UNB
