Podochinho, a culturally-based student organisation of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, organised a cultural programme at the University’s Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Auditorium recently.
To mark their annual programme on the campus, they held a cultural programme titled ‘Jodi-17’. They organised an attractive cultural programme that included discussion, solo dance, group dance, shadow performance, stage drama, silence drama, song and puppet shows.
The performers Susmoy, Anik, Moon, Biraj, Tumpa, Sohan, Monika, Shuvo all were students of different faculties of the university and also the members of the organisation.
Through this programme, they run a campaign against eve teasing. They made a short documentary film to raise awareness about stopping eve teasing.
Prior to the staging of the drama, a short discussion was held in which president of Podochinho, Prof Dr Nasrin Sultana Juyena presided over the programme.
About 2500 spectators enjoyed the programme at university auditorium. – BAU Correspondent
