Amal Krisna Dey (65) who was fatally injured in the hands of the dacoits expired in hospital while he was being given treatment. The man hailed from Chingrakhali village under Morrelganj Upazila in the district in the district. It is learnt from the locals and the
police that on Wednesday at night a gang of armed dacoits raided his house, entered its bed room by breaking open its door, inflicted severe cut injuries on his person with sharp
knives and decamped with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. As a result, he was fatally injured. In the following morning he was admitted to
Morrelganj Upazila Hospital and from there to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on the following day. In this connection a murder case was lodged
with Morrelganj PS.
