Dhaka – The Dakhina-CJKS Inter-University Football Tournament, organised by Chattagram Jila Krira Sangstha (CJKS), will begin on Monday (July 10) at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin will inaugurate the tournament on Monday afternoon.Deputy commissioner of the district Mohammad Zillur Rahman and Editor of the tournament’s sponsor Monthly Dakhina Sarwar Jahan will be present as the special guests on the occasion.A total of 10 teams, split into three groups, will take part in the meet.Vice President of CJKS Football Committee Nazrul Islam Ledu disclosed the tournament schedule at a press conference at the CJKS office on Friday. Secretray of CJKS Football Committee Mohammad Yousuf also spoke on the occasion.Particpating teams are:Group A: East Delta University, Southern University, Intertnaional Islamic University and Chittagong Medical College.Group B: BGC Trust University Bangladesh, Chittagong University and MA & Shisu Medical College Chittagong.Group C: BGC Trust Medical College, Premier University and Univesity of Science & Technology.The champions team will be awarded with a prize money of Tk 30,000, runners-up team will be awarded Tk 20,000, highest scorer Tk 2,000, beat player Tk 2,000 while the man of the match of each game will get a crest.The price of gallery ticket for the two matches in a day has been fixed at Tk 100.UNB news agency
