DCCI asks Indian businessmen to invest in B’desh

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday urged the Indian entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh enjoying the investment-friendly packages and incentives offered by the government to the foreign investors.   DCCI President M Sabur Khan made the request when the visiting Indian ICT trade delegation met him at the DCCI in the capital.   Welcoming the Indian ICT trade delegation, Sabur Khan said both Bangladesh and India can boost bilateral business more utilising the friendly relations between the two countries.   Leader of the Indian delegation and Regional Manager (East) of PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt. Ltd. Debdas Sen urged the IT entrepreneurs of both the countries to work in building a partnership for the development of ICT sector.   He said that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Bangladeshi company, Bangladesh System Technology Limited, for developing their competency in the Education System Management, which will help develop human resources especially in the education sector.   Debdas Sen said the delegation of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) visits Bangladesh to explore and utilise ICT resources of this country and to discover new avenues of business. They will also facilitate training to the IT people of Bangladesh in future and share technical expertise, he added.   DCCI senior vice president Nessar Maksud Khan, its vice president Absar Karim Chowdhury, directors KMN Manjurul Hoque, Haider Ahmed Khan, Osama Taseer, M Iftekharuddin, M Abu Hurairah, Hossain A Sikder, Alhaj Abdus Salam, M Shoaib Choudhury and vice president of BASIS Syed Almas Kabir were present during the meeting.
