A young decorator businessman was gunned down in the city’s Jurain area on early Monday.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, 23, son of late Md Abdul Khaleq. He had been working at a decorator shop “ Ma Decorator’ of Jurain area along with his brothers.
Police sources said, miscreants numbering 4-5 swooped on Ibrahim near Nabinbagh Chairman of Jurain in between 1:00 am and 1:30 am. He was residing at a rented room in the area.The gangsters fired gunshots targeting him and fled from the scene leaving Ibrahim in a pool of blood. Being informed. His brothers Anwar and Harunur-Rashid went to the spot and rushed him to DMCH where the attending doctor announced Ibrahim dead at about 2:00 am, said Sub-inspector Alamgir Hossain of Kadomtoli police station..
Reason behid the killing could not be known immediately, SI Alamgir said. The body was sent to DMCH morgue for postmortem. – News Desk
