Deprived BCL men call 99 BCL central leaders controversial

Dhaka, May 16 – Deprived leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Thursday demanded that newly elected central leaders, including president and general secretary, undergo dope tests.
They made the demand at a press conference at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University (DU) around 2 pm.
On behalf of those failed to find their names in the newly announced committee, former BCL programme and planning affairs secretary Rakib Hossain said they are sure that most of the leaders who got posts in the new committee are ‘drug addicts’. “That’s why we demand dope tests on the BCL central leadership.”
At the press conference, BCL former publicity and publication secretary Saif Babu read out a written statement.
In the statement, he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina for directing to reconstitute the BCL committee dropping the controversial ones.
He also said they were ready to give ‘befitting replies’ if Sheikh Hasina’s directive is ignored in the name of reconstitution.
Shahed Khan, general secretary of Kabi Jasimuddin Hall BCL unit, claimed that their demand for reconstituting the BCL committee is logical as the President and General Secretary were compelled to make a list of 17 controversial members.
At the press conference, the deprived leaders also revealed the names of ’99 controversial leaders’ who are either involved in different types of crimes like drug trading and question paper leakage or are non-students and married. – UNB
