Dhaka, May 16 – Ruling Awami League’s affiliated organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has named 16 leaders for their controversial roles and they will be suspended if they fail to prove wrong the allegations brought against them.
Golam Rabbani, General Secretary of BCL on Wednesday disclosed those names at a press briefing at Awami League’s (AL) president’s political office at Dhanmondi after getting instruction by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also chief of the organization.

BCL president Shovon said that we not only take action against the controversial leaders but also against those leaders who tarnished BCL’s image.

Hasina asked Shovon to drop the “controversial” leaders from the committee if the allegations against them are found true, sources of BCL sources told journalists.
Golam Rabbani said, one name Paradip Chowdhury was by mistake dropped from the list joint-secretary of the new BCL central committee.
