The government on Wednesday directed all public and private hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres to ensure treatment and services to both Covid-19 and non-Covid patients.
The public health experts suggested ensuring treatment to both Covid-19 and non-Covid patients at different parts of the same hospital, said a handout of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
All private and public hospitals having 50 or more beds, clinics, and diagnostic centres have been asked to provide treatment to both Covid and Non-Covid patients under separate arrangement.
Earlier, government hospitals and some dedicated hospitals were treating COVID-19 patients in the country.Bangladesh has so far reported 38,292 coronavirus cases and 544 deaths as of Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the health authorities reported 1,541 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.
