Bangladesh on Friday urged all parties in Egypt to uphold the rule of law and the constitutional process and wished that all political forces there will follow maximum restraint to avert further violence and disorder in public life.It hoped that the transition towards a full democratic dispensation will be well-planned, swift and all inclusive, and the process will reflect the wishes of the great people of Egypt.
Bangladesh has been closely following the latest round of events towards political transition in Egypt, said a Foreign Ministry release.
It said Bangladesh attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with Egypt and hopes that the relations will continue to grow in every possible area of cooperation to the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
Bangladesh Embassy in Cairo has been in constant touch with the Bangladesh community living in Egypt, the Foreign Ministry said.
It said Bangladeshis living in Egypt are safe, but advised to remain alert. (Source: UNB)
