Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Thursday urged the international community to show respect to the overwhelming popular demand emanating from the people of Bangladesh and join their condemnation of those found guilty of crimes against humanity.
“We urge the international community to show respect to the overwhelming popular demand emanating from the people of Bangladesh and join their condemnation of those found guilty of crimes against humanity (during the Liberation War of Bangladesh),” she said.
The Foreign Minister was briefing foreign diplomats at her ministry on the recent violence “by Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir” across the country.
Dipu Moni also urged the international community to react to what she said the fabricated propaganda by Jamaat-Shibir and their allies and supporters against the war crimes trial in Bangladesh. UNB
