A-two day long Digital Innovation Fair-2015 has begun at in Fulchhari upazila headquarters in the district on Tuesday with a call to reach services to the doorsteps of the people.Upazila administration has organized the fair under Access to Information Programme of Prime Minister (PM) Office funded by GoB, USAID and UNDP.The objective of the fair is to inform all about what types of services of the government and non government offices are being provided to the people through digitized process within less cost and short time.Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Ehsan-e-Elahi inaugurated the fair at a function as the chief guest while upazila parishad chairman M. Habibur Rahman was present as special guest.With UNO M. Mostafizur Rahman in the chair, the inaugural ceremony was also addressed, among others, by upazila vice chairman Shahidul Islam, female vice chairman Rasheda Begum, upazila engineer of LGED AKM Akterurl Ahsan, upazila social services officer Akram Hossain, freedom fighter Azharul Islam Bablu and entrepreneur Monowar Hossain.Speaking at the function, the chief guest said the government led by PM Sheikh Hasina had already achieved remarkable success in building digital Bangladesh in different sectors including health, education, agriculture, and information and communication technology department.He also urged all to help the government from their respective positions to materialise the dream of transforming the country into a middle income one by 2021. -BSS, Gaibandha
