An elderly man with physical disabilities drowned in a pond at Kanainagar village under Mohammadpur Police Station on Monday. The deceased was identified as Akhil Biswas, 40, son of Ananto Biswas, a resident of the village.Family sources said Akhil slipped into the pond beside his house when he went there to have a bath in the afternoon.Later, family members found him floating in the pond after a frantic search and rescued him.After he was taken to Mohammappur Upazila Heath Complex, doctors there declared him dead.An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.UNB, Magura
