Discussion on rural development scheme of IBBL

Initially I purchased a cow by taking investment an amount of 6 thousand from the Rural Development Scheme (RDS) of Islami Bank Banglaesh Limited. At second phase, I took investment of tk. 10 thousand and purchased a sweing machine. And I started tailoring business. I succeeded in this business. Then I dreamt to do bigger things. At third phase, I got investment of Tk. 8o thousand in such way and started the business of agro products. Now I am a successful trader in my locality. My only son is studying in honors and two daughters in school. I built a house and seneraty latrin. I am solvent now, passing my days with happiness. Once I passed my life in hardship having no foods. Islami Bank changed my living standard. Nur Banu Begum, an RDS client of Sayedpur Branch of Islami Bank was describing her success story. Like Nur Banu, Geeta Rani, Abdus Salam, Majharul Islam and other benificiaries were also telling their story of success in a views exchange meeting, organized by Sayedpur branch of the bank on August 3, 2016.
Eng. Mustafa Anowar, chairman of the bank was present in the program as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO, the program was addressed by Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Qazi Shahidul Alam, Director, Md. Mosharraf Hossain, EVP and Head of Development Wing, Md. Shahidullah, EVP and Head of Rangpur Zone and Md. Mahboob Alam Head of Rural Development Division. A total of 250 RDS members under Sayedpur branch attended the program.
Eng. Mustafa Anwar said as chief guest, Islami bank has been working for upgrading the living standard, decentralization of the wealth, expanding the investment and ensuring sustainable development of the country. He said, Islami Bank has connected the 10 lac familes of 20 thousand villages with mainstream of economy through its RDS project. Living standard of the people has been upgraded. Now they are contributing for the growth of the national economy.
Prof Syed Ahsanul Alam said islami Bank have been playing remarkable role in entrepreneur development, generating rural employment and women empowerment. Focusing the impact of the microfinance for rural development and social upgrading, he said the RDS project would be expanded gradually in every villages of the country.
Prof. Dr. Qazi Shahidul Alam said, Islami Bank has been working for poverty eradication with helping education and health sector also. The bank is for all people of the country and working for fulfilling the necessity of all of the people.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan said, RDS project of Islami Bank has been working for distributive justice, wealth distribution and equitable development. He also said, 50% Islamic Microfinance of the world is being operated through the RDS of Islami Bank project.
