Documentary on Anwara Bahar Chowdhury at ULAB

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has showcased a documentary on renowned educationist, writer, and cultural activist Anwara Bahar Chowdhury on March 14 at the ULAB Auditorium.Directed by Samir Kushari, the documentary has been conceptualized, narrated, and produced by Anwar Bahar Chowdhury. Professor Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman graced the occasion as chief guest. Professor Imran Rahman, vice chancellor of ULAB, presented the inaugural speech at the event.

Anwara Bahar Chowdhury played a vocal role behind empowerment of women during the 1990s. She is one of the founders of Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA) in Dhaka. Besides, she was the cultural representative in Iran and Iraq in 1961, and in the former Soviet Union in 1961. Anwara Bahar Chowdhury is the author of many acclaimed books.One of her numerous contributions to humanity include establishment of a college in 1969 named after her husband, Habibullah Bahar. Anwara Bahar Chowdhury took her last break on October 27, 1987 after a battle with cancer.Founded in 2004, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh has rapidly established itself as one of the only research-intensive universities in Bangladesh.
