Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam, Associate Professor has joined as the new Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Extension & Information System (AEISD) of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka. He has taken over the charge from Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Shofi Ullah Mazumder who has completed his term as the Chairman. Son of Md. Shafiqul Alam and Mrs. Mahfuza Begum Dr. Alam hail from Chapainawabgonj district.Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam althrough a meritorious student had obtained his MS in Agricultural Extension from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University securing CGPA 3.82 out of 4.0 with 1st Position in the merit list. He joined SAU as lecturer in AEISD in 2007 and promoted to the ranks of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor 2009 and 2014 respectively. Alam received his Ph.D in Information Systems, from City University of Hong Kong in June, 2014.
Dr. Alam has successfully accomplished a number of research projects and he has scientific publications in international and national journals.
Dr. Mahbubul Alam is married and blessed with a son aged 4. He is associated with social and philanthropic organizations. – Press release
