Dhaka – Channel 24 clinched the Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket title beating bdnews24.com by one run in the nerve-racking final at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium here on Tuesday.Rashed Nizam of Channel 24 was adjudged man of the final while Ariful Islam Rony of bdnews24.com was player of the tournament.
Champions Channel 24 received prize money of Tk 50,000 while runners-up bdnews24.com received Tk 25,000, man of the final and man of the tournament are richer with Tk 5,000 each.
Besides, two losing semifinalists, best scorer and best bowler of the tournament got prize money Tk 5,000 each.
Former Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, MP, was the chief guest at the final.
BCB Director Ahmed Sajjadul Alam Bobby, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon, DRU President Saiful Islam and General Secretary Syed Sukkur Ali Shuvo were also present.
Earlier in the semifinals, Channel 24 beat Channel i by three wickets while bdnews24.com eliminated Bangla Vision by five wickets at the same venue.UNB
