Drugs destroyed in Chapainawabganj

Drugs worth Tk. 46,66,750 were destroyed at the battalion head
quarters of 9 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in
Chapainawabganj today.
The drugs included 10,487 bottles of phensidyl, 2,422 pieces of
injection, 34.5 litres of wine, 82 bottles of korex, 47 kg of spirit,
8.1 kg of hemp and 500 grams of heroine.
During the destruction, mayor of Chapainawabganj municipality Maolana
Abdul Matin, second in command of 9 BGB battalion Major Mizanur
Rahman, Additional police Super KM Ariful Hoque, an executive
magistrate, officials of Narcotics Department and media workers were
present.
Deputy Director of 9 BGB battalion Captain Nazmul Hoque said, these
drugs were recovered from different frontiers of the district from
November 14, 2012 till June 8, 2013.
