DSE, CSE see nominal gain Wednesday

Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained nominally on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 23.22 points or 0.73 percent to reach 4694.21 at the close of trading on Wednesday.Of the 296 issues traded, 148 gained, 122 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 547.31 crore changed hands at the DSE amid hectic trading on the day. The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Aramit, Kohinoor Chemicals, Prime Bank, Mithun Knitting, Renata, Glaxosmith, City Bank, GP, 1st ICB Mutual Fund, and Bangas.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 83.34 points to reach 9062.49 at the close today. Of the 216 issues traded, 103 advanced, 92 suffered loss and 21 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 32.10 crore on Wednesday. – UNB
