A warehouse of Bengal Group caught fire in the city’s Tejgaon Industrial area on Wednesday. Sources at the Fire Service Control room said the fire originated at the godown near BSTI office at about 5:20 pm.
Being informed, eight firefighter units went to the spot and brought the fire under control at about 6:05pm, said duty officer Nilufar Yeasmin of the control room.The fire might have originated from an electrical short circuit, Assistant Director (Dhaka) of Fire Brigade Rafiqul Islam said from the spot. There was no report of any of injury in the fire incident. – UNB
