DSE loses, CSE gains Wednesday

Of the two bourses, the key share index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced a nominal loss while that of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) registered gain on Wednesday.   The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 2.64 points or 0.06 percent to reach 4116.16 at close of trading. Of the 294 issues traded, 114 gained, 161 declined and 19 remained unchanged. Shares worth Tk 652.97 crore changed hands on the day.   The top 10 losers at the DSE were Fareast Life, BD Welding, Fine Foods, Miracle Industry, Anwar Galvanizing, Beach Hatchery, Jute Spinning, Monno Ceramics, Aramit, and Sino Bangla.   The CSE key index, CSCX registered gain by 14.24 points to reach 8029.94 at the close today. Of the 230 issues traded, 87 gained, 125 declined and 18 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 56.83 crore.   Earlier, in the morning, the DSEX gained 32.25 points or 0.80 percent to reach 4152.06 at 11:20 am. The CSCX gained 65.29 points to stand at 8080.99, also at 11:20 am today. – UNB
