Dhaka, Dec 17 – The Bijoy 71 Hall of DU was illuminated with colourful lights on Monday night. It celebrated the 47th Victory Day of Bangladesh. For observing day The authority of Bijoy 71 Hall organised a cultural programme. The programme was named “Celebration of Victory Day and Provost Award giving programme-2018”The chief guest of the programme was Professor Dr Md Akhteruzzaman Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University. Major General (retired) Helal Morshed Khan Bir Bikram was the special guest.
Speaker is Bangla Hero Ferdous Ahmed and Dr Nujhat Chowdhury daughter of Shaheed Buddijibi Dr Alim Chowdhury. The programme was presided over by the provost of the Hall Dr A J M Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan.
Eleven students were given the Provost Award and One student named Imran Hossain of the department of Arabic receives Provost Gold medal.
