Eid-ul-Azha on Sept 2

Dhaka, Aug 23 – Holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated across the Bangladesh on September 2 as the new moon of the Arabic month of Zillhajj was sighted in Bangladesh sky on Wednesday.The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting after reviewing reports received from different parts of the country, said Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman at a press briefing at the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram in the evening.
Director General of Islamic Foundation Shamim Mohammad Afzal and other officials were present at the meeting. – UNB
