Recently while I was passing through the old airport road I witnessed a terrible incident at the turning point near Jahangir Gate; a CNG run auto rickshaw suddenly made a hard brake as its front tire was seen disappeared and the auto came to stand still piercing through the black carpet of the road. It could be a serious accident but fortunately it didn’t happen so.In fact, it appears that most of the CNGs are too old and unfit to ply. In most cases CNG gas cylinder are not checked for fitness regularly. These CNGs are not only unsafe but at risk of accident anytime.
I would request the concerned authority to take necessary steps towards ensuring fitness and safety of the CNG auto-rickshaws.
