“So many words regarding quick rental, will it stop tomorrow?” said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a taunting mode in Parliament a few days ago. Not only quick rentals, all power plants can be stopped and the Government has the ability to do this. It seems that people are getting electricity at the benevolence of the Government. The PM also mentioned that if big power house come to generate, quick rental will not be needed. Why big power houses were not made in the last five years? People want to know.
Why many ministers of the previous term of Awami League Government lead by Sheikh Hasina did not get chance in the new cabinet? It is alleged that they were found corrupted enormously. The PM also said on occasion of the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that many people claimed democracy was established by Ziaur Rahman. But she mentioned that in each night curfew was imposed from 75-86 during the regime of Ziaur Rahman.
It seems that The PM and leaders of the Awami League are always thinking odd words they will say against Ziaur Rahman will tarnish his fame. But many people love Ziaur Rahman. In the mean time a huge amount of state money has been squandered for wiping out the name – Zia International Airport.
Some BNP leaders were kidnapped, false cases were filled against the opposition, jailed, some journalists were murdered including Sagor and Runi, a number of officer were killed in the BDR mutiny, some political workers have been cross fired and many more things happened during the AL regime.
People still now expect that the sitting government will work for the nation instead of spreading rumour and odd words against the opposition and will declare a fresh date for national election that can be participated in by all.
