A farmer was killed by a lightning strike at Diyar Manikchar village in Godagari upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam Kalu, 32, son of Abdur Razzak, a resident of the village.Locals said the lightning strike hit him while he was working in the field around 4:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot. -UNB, Rajshahi
