A man was hacked dead by miscreants as he resisted abduction of his daughter at Bhuigarh in Narayanganj early Wednesday.The victim Manindra Chandra, 52, was a day labourer and resident of Raghunathpur in the area. Four people were arrested in this connection.The police said 10-12 miscreants, led by one Tuhin, came to the area in two microbuses around 3:30am and tried to abduct the girl.
But as Manindra resisted their bid, they hacked him to death on the spot.Local people apprehended the drivers of the microbuses along with two suspected abductors. They were handed over to the police.Fatullah model police officer-in-charge Asaduzzaman said the police are trying to catch Tuhin and other suspects. A case was yet to be filed.
