Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a woman heroin
peddler in possession of 20 grams of heroin from Kauria village in
Jhikargachha upazila on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Lily Begum, wife of Faruque Hossain of
the village.
Sources at BGB-26 battalion said a patrol team of the border force
arrested Lily from her house in the afternoon and recovered 20 grams
of heroin from her possession.
A case was filed in this connection.
On the other hand, BGB members in another drive recovered one shooter
gun and 1,000 kilograms of Indian smuggled tea in an abandoned
condition at Baroachra village in Sharsha upazila. -UNB, Jessore
