Dhaka, Nov 10 – A Jubo League leader allegedly assaulted female MP Amatul Kibria Keya at Mirpur Bedepalli in Babubal upazila of Habiganj on Friday afternoon.Bahubal Upazila Nirhabi Officer (UNO) Rafiqul Islam and officer-in-charge of Bahubal Police Station Mashuk Ali said Tara Miah, Upazila Parishad vice-chairman and a leader of Upazila unit Jubo League, and his followers swooped on Keya, MP from female reserve seat-28, while she was distributing cheques among the fire victims at the Palli.
Keya said the attackers also snatched her mobile phone during the attack.
As she fell sick after the assault, the female MP was taken to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet. – UNB
