FIFA, AFC Football: Booters realize need to pull up their socks

Dhaka – Bangladesh National Football team, now in the Tajikistan to particsipate in their away match for the joint qualifiers of the FIFA and AFC meets against Afghanistan, will play their 2nd preparatory match with Tajik Club CSKA Pamir at the Hisar Stadium in Dushanbe on Thursday.

The match will kick-off at 5 pm (Bangladesh time).CSKA Pamir finished 4th in the top division of Tajikistan.

In their first preparatory match, Bangladesh disappointed in conceding a 2-0 defeat against FC Kuktosh, who finished one place above CSKA Pamir in the Tajik top division.

Bangladesh team was fully fit ahead of the 2nd preparatory match. The team members are determined to put their best performance forward this time, cutting out the mistakes they made in the first match.

The team stretched their 2nd training session to more than one-and-half hours at Public Central Stadium Artificial Turf 2 in Dushanbe Wednesday afternoon.

Bangladesh reached Tajikistan Monday for an 8-day preparation camp ahead of their first-leg away match for the joint Qualification (Round-1) of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 against Afghanistan on September 10 in the capital Dushanbe.

Earlier, Bangladesh put in Group E along with Qatar, Oman, neighboring India and Afghanistan.

They will play their home match against stronger Qatar on October 10, away match with India on October 15, away match against Oman on November 14 and home match with Afghanistan on March 26, away match with Qatar on March 31 and home matches with India on June 4 and Oman on June 9.UNB
