The Pir Shaheb of Charmonai, Moulana Syed Rezaul Karim has said that the activities of the RAB have created questions in the minds of the people all over the country. The Pir Shahed said that the government should find out why the people who used to pray for success of RAB were now viewing the force as a curse.
Exchanging views of the teachers and students of the Charmonai Madrasah on Wednesday morning he said that the country would face a dangerous situation if there was failure to punish murderers and convicted criminals. The Pir Shaheb said that the country has now turned into an empire of murders as, killing, abduction, and enforced disappearance continued to increase.He said that the people were extremely concerned at the abduction, killing and disappearance of politicians, businessmen and ordinary citizens. Politics is for the welfare of the people. Politics that leads of murder and abduction cannot be condoned by the people, the Pir Shaheb Observed.
Moulana Sayed Rezaul Karim said instead of taking punitive actions, responsible ministers were terming murders and abductions as isolated incidents. This created questions in the minds of the people about the sincerity of the government to contain the crimes. He said that the government would have to face the people’s court soon to account for the murders and abductions no matter what efforts are made to shift the blame on others.
The Pir Shaheb of Charmonai said that the prevailing political culture was responsible for murder, abduction and enforced disappearances, and urged all to give up nasty politics and instead work for establishing an Islami social system in the country. – Press release
