Dhaka – Fifteen shops were gutted by a fire that broke out at an onion wholesale market at Shyambazar in Sutrapur area of the capital in Keraniganj early Wednesday.The fire originated at a wholesale shop of onions around 6am and it soon spread to adjoining ones, said Mohammad Alam, sub-inspector of Sutrapur Police Station.On information, six firefighting units rushed in and doused the flame after half an hour of efforts around 6:30 am.However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.UNB
