A devastating fire damaged property worth around Tk 1.5 crore of Surichala Textile and Dyeing Factory at Kaliakoir of the district.
The fire originated from an electrical short circuit of Melba textile section waving machine around 2:00 pm Friday.
Manager of the factory (Administration) Amzad Hossain said the fire originated from an electric short circuit and spread out in whole section in few moments.
The fire gutted five waving machines, clothes, reel along with others property worth Tk 1.5 crore, he added.
