Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized one pistol, two magazines, six rounds of bullet, and 106 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from a mango orchard at Atrashia in Shibganj upazila early Saturday.
Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zafar Sheikh Mohammad Bazlul Haque, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-9, said on secret information, a team of the
border force launched a drive in the area at about 3:00 am and when they challenged a group of smugglers there, they fled the scene leaving a bag behind.Later, the BGB team recovered one pistol, two magazines, six rounds of bullet, and 106 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from the bag.The recovered firearm, magazines, bullets and Phensidyl were deposited to Shibganj Police Station.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Chapainawabganj
